Pros: -great looking-Quick document feed copy feature-cheap ink-auto duplexer-good wi-fi range-picture copy features work wellCons:-paper tray too small-connectivity always an issue after sleep mode-paper jams when using typical budget office paper-better print quality expected for price-auto duplexer cuts headers off documents-loud. Many documents I print are about that length. I print a high volume of documents at home and thought I could save money with this printer because of the low ink cost.
For the price there are printers with better print quality, but less features. Any paper I've used for under $20 a ream causes paper jams every 3-4 sheets. I usually don't worry about sound, but there are times when I can't hear the TV while it prints.Overall:I would be satisfied if I only paid $150 for the printer.
What I save in ink is lost on paper. Quality isn't a large issue because I don't print pictures. To me the issue is paper and the paper tray.
The paper tray also doesn't hold more than about 50 sheets max. Coming out of sleep mode I always have to unplug it for a minute to get it to connect to the wireless and wired networks.I would not buy this printer again, or recommend it to anyone.
I sold my Hp to buy new wireless esp 9 with cheaper ink.Huge mistake. I called Kodak support and was told there is nothing I can do about it, it's the way it is and a common complaint. The color is so bad, if color is blue on computer it comes out grey on paper. None of the colors are bright or true to color. If you need this for anything but black and white.Forget about it. I lost $300.00.
I brought this printer because of the advertisment on TV. The installation was easy. I thought I would be saving money with the ink,not true. My printer is very noise at start up and right before you get ready to print something. As far as printing goes it use a lot of Ink. The ink is cheaper but you have to keep buying because it does run out quick. Would not recommend to a friend.
Also, the machine is VERY loud and slow. IF they had just sent me a new one to replace the defective machine, I would continue using Kodak products.
Could not get the fax to work correctly. I used online customer support and worked with a technician for over 2 hours.
Hooked up the machine for small home office use. I hung up and took the machine back to the store.
He finally gave up, gave me an ID number and told me to call the 1-800 to receive a replacement. Called the number and the customer service representative proceeded to begin running me through all the steps I had just completed the previous two hours, before she would help me replace the machine.
But for Kodak to expect their customers to go through 2 hours of problem solving and then do it again with customer service is too much to ask. More than happy to return this product.
Every time I have tried to use it I have had to deal with Paper Jams are wait and wait on it to Print. I have had a lot of Printers over the years this has been the worse printer I have ever had in my LIFE. It is so LOUD. Now I am sitting here with it flashing replace color cartridge and I have already put 2 new ones in it.Which were bought from Kodak. The ink does not last any time either.WORSE PRINTER EVER No I would not tell anyone to get it.I DONT EVEN WANT IT.I dont even want to give it a star.
